TURBO TIMER

A Turbo Timer allows the vehicle to idle for a preset amount of time after the ignition key has been removed.  In turbocharged vehicles this prevents the engine to overheat.  Hard driving can raise engine oil temperature and pressure to dangerously high levels.  Proper cool down is essential for a healthy turbo and engine.  In normally aspirated cars, a Turbo Timer can also be used to cool down the temperature of the car without having to sit inside.  Especially for the cars with Variable Valve Timing and Valve Lifting, such as Vtec, Mivec, VVti, etc. Those cars depend on engine oil pressure to further open their intake valves for enhancing performance.  So turbo timers are basically essential for the healthy maintenance of ALL cars.

The A'PEXi Auto Timer stands as a technological marvel. The pen shaped, compact size makes the Auto Timer one of the smallest turbo timers on the market. This allows a clean and stylish installation virtually anywhere inside the car. The unique multi angle joystick button allows easy navigation through the many feature menus. Upgraded in every way from the previous model, the new Auto Timer can automatically determine the necessary amount of after idling time. A Manual Mode allows the user to preset desired idling times from 0 sec.~10 minutes in 16 increments. By inputting O2 sensor voltage, the Timer can also display theoretical air fuel ratio. Since the Auto Timer uses the factory O2 sensor which is primarily designed for emissions, the readings may not be as accurate when the O2 sensor is cold. A'PEXi recommends that the O2 sensor readings be compared to a high grade "tuning" O2 sensor for comparison. The Timer can also display critical data such as O2 sensor voltage and Battery Voltage. To prevent potential theft while running, the handbrake safety feature shuts off the vehicle when the handbrake is released without the ignition key.

The basic function of our Turbo Timer is to allow the vehicle to idle the engine, for a timed period, with the ignition key removed. This allows the engine oil and turbo center cartridge to cool down and prevent internal turbo damage.

The new GReddy Full Auto Timers pack tons of features in one economical, compact unit. In addition to two standard programmable count down presents (P-1, P-2) our timer also has two Auto Timer modes, (A-L, A-H) which estimates the driving RPM according to the vehicles alternator signal and then recommends a count down time. And now there is a Stopwatch/Lap Time mode, and Attack mode. There is also a built in Voltmeter and Speedometer. Still standard are the optional Parking Brake and Speedo Safety hook-ups.

HKS Turbo Timer Type-1 is a full featured Turbo Timer that combines all the features of the Turbo Timer Type-0 with added monitoring and metering functions such as RPM, time to speed/distance, peak hold & warning features and a stopwatch for lap times.
 

HKS all new Turbo Timer Type-0 and Type-1 carry over many of the popular features from the previous HKS units, including multiple preset times, audible alarms, up and down control buttons, power and memory buttons, and an easy to read back-lit digital display. Additionally, both new models feature a more compact polyurethane casing, back-lit button controls, a larger dual color LCD panel, a volt monitor function to monitor battery power, and an auto mode feature that adjusts engine idle time according to the most recent driving pattern.
