This is a true "quick-release" system as used in professional racing. Made from aircraft grade cast aluminum, the system was originally developed for only race application but FLYING PERFORMANCE INTERNATIONAL brings this to the street. Unlike other race-type quick release systems, our snap off system can be bolted directly onto any boss kit. It requires no welding or other irreversible modifications to the car's steering mechanism and fit to any aftermarket steering wheels (Momo, Sparco, Personal, Nardi, Autotechnica, etc.) It became apparent that this system has another major purpose other than racing, and was quickly adapted for use on the street, as a very effective theft deterrent. A car parked on the street without a steering wheel presents an extremely difficult challenge to a car thief.
